Our method of teaching is gentle and fun. We believe that a child that is unafraid and confident, will learn much faster than one that is crying and fearful. We sing and play lots of games to learn, master and retain the skills needed to survive in any body of water. We go at every student's pace and push a little further every class.

Our method of teaching is gentle and fun. We believe that a child that is unafraid and confident, will learn much faster than one that is crying and fearful. According to Floridahealth.gov, Drowning is the leading cause of injury death among children ages 1–4 in Florida. Florida's drowning death rate among children ages 1–4 is the highest in the nation.
Swimming is a great workout because you need to move your whole body against the resistance of the water. It keeps your heart rate up but takes some of the impact stress off your body. builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. helps maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs.
You can start swimming at 3 months old and continue to swim for the rest of your life.
The first focus will be to teach water survival skills such as floating on the back, tuning over from tummy to back and vice versa, reaching for the wall and climbing out, calling out for help (all this independently).
Once the skills are mastered we move on to teach front and back propulsion (basics of Freestyle and Back Stroke) as well as diving under the water to retrieve objects, and continue to reinforce and practice the water survival skills.
Then, we will start to focus on the four strokes and their techniques. We will also work on the basics of relay racing, proper breathing and other water safety activities such as helping someone that is drowning, taking extra weight off in case of accidental submersion (shoes, shirt, etc.) and building endurance.
Lastly, we will work on refining each stroke, learning the rules and regulations of competitive swimming and building endurance to pass a swim team entry test with ease. We will do an introduction to diving and continue to increase the water safety skills.

All classes are 30 minutes long unless other wise arranged.
Every parent has a different goal in mind and every child learns at a different pace. We push each student just enough every class to where they are continuously learning as they build their confidence, but never too far to where they are scared. You pay for a month of classes at a time and you can stop at any point. So there are no long term commitments or sessions you are stuck with. It typically takes 12 lessons for a child who is comfortable in the water and has no fear of the water. This changes widely depending on several factors.
It is Florida, so rain (especially in the Summer) is part of our daily life. We do not cancel classes for sprinkles or light rain. We take this opportunity to show our students what it feels like to use their skills in one of many possible real life scenarios. We, however, do not want to put anyone at risk, so if there is visible lightning, nearby thunder or excessive rain we will postpone classes for 30 minutes. It usually clears after that. If it does not, your teacher will make arrangements.
We have a satisfaction guaranteed policy. If for ANY reason you are not completely satisfied after the first lesson, we will refund 100% of your tuition (minus the registration fee).
You are also welcome to come and check out the classes before you sign up. Please email or call us to make arrangements.
We offer a 5% discount on tuition for a second and any consecutive students in the same family and payment method.

Ana is such a great teacher! Miles started lessons very afraid of putting his head under water or getting his eyes and ears wet. He was an OK swimmer from the previous year, but regressed and fear grew over the off season. She made the lesson time fun and encouraged him with genuine cheering! Swim safety is so important, so she reviewed the basics all over again and made sure he could float and get a breath!!! The transformation took just a few weeks from fear to fish! And I mean.... He was a big fish grabbing the dive toys off of the pool
floor!
We started taking our daughter to My Swim School for swimming lessons since she was 3 years old. She is now 5 and always asks to take her to swimming lessons with Mrs. Ana. She loves the classes and is always looking forward to them. Ana is great with kids and it is obvious that she loves teaching kids to swim. Our daughter learned right away and thanks to My Swim School, we feel more confident and at ease when she is playing at the pool or at the beach.
My daughter loves her swim lessons at My Swim school. Mrs. Ana is so patient, kind and fun. She has taught her so much she can't wait for her lessons.
